What an amazing time at the Truro BID Children’s day. We had a stand raising funds for Aquabox water filters for Ukraine with a lucky dip. We had sold out of prizes by lunchtime!! Thanks to one of former club members, Alistair Whyte and his family for a final donation, and and excellent hoola hoop demo.

Some of our Members visited the Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre at St Dennis yesterday to find out how 240k tonnes pa of household waste (over and above what gets recycled) is turned into power for 21k homes each year...a fascinating visit.  A very big thank you to everyone who supported our Mid Summer Open Garden and Cream Tea event on Sunday 25th June in aid of Children's Hospice South West. An amazing £460 was raised. The sun shone and the scones had gone!
